Job Title Senior Manager Engineering About the Role We are seeking a Senior Manager – Engineering & Solutions to lead strategic engineering and solution initiatives for airline customers. This role combines technical leadership, customer engagement, architecture design, and team development within a global, agile environment. In this role, you'll Lead end-to-end solution design and engineering delivery for complex airline and travel technology systems. Collaborate with product, security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure effective project outcomes. Guide technical teams through development, testing, and delivery with a focus on quality, performance, and scalability. Foster an environment of learning, innovation, and technical excellence. Oversee architecture design reviews and alignment with enterprise-level technology standards. Promote modern engineering practices such as Cloud, Microservices, DevOps, and Security by Design. Encourage continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration across global sites. Represent engineering and solution design topics in company forums and knowledge networks. Your Profile Typically 12+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership, including team management. Proven experience building and leading technology teams with a collaborative leadership style. Proficiency in Java full stack development, including microservices, Kafka, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience designing scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systems. Ability to translate complex business challenges into practical technology solutions. Familiarity with agile frameworks and continuous delivery practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders. Experience in the travel or related technology domain (e.g., reservations, retail, customer experience) is an advantage.
