This role is part of the AI, Platform Engineering & DevX (APEX) to lead Near-Realtime (NRT) teams under Data Streaming Platform area. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, NRT. This role is part of AI, Platform Engineering & DevX (APEX). The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and management, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field 13-15 Years of related experience with strong technical understanding in Apache/Confluent Kafka and Apache NiFi. Experience with managing a community of practice consisting of streaming developer/platform engineers responsible for facilitating real time data streaming using Kafka and NiFi is strongly preferred. At least 5-7 years of experience in people management leading multiple teams globally Detailed understanding and experience in Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, ECS Good understanding and experience with DevOps practices and tech stack (Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, GitHub) Good hands on working experience in AWS ecosystem Experience with API/first architecture design, distributed systems (e.g., microservices, Virtualization) and cloud infrastructure for large scale data warehouse, data lakes, data fabric. Strong communication, ability to influence, solve complex problems, and leadership ability while being a team player are a must. High emotional intelligence with the ability to bring diverse groups together to solve common goals.
