Join the home for entrepreneurs! The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of various material handling equipment. This equipment includes conveyors, bulk feed systems, sortation systems, and mail sorting machinery, in addition to other machines of comparable complexity. The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects are executed within established timelines, adhere to budgetary limitations, and meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to drive projects from concept through to successful implementation, thereby contributing significantly to the organization's objectives. Your role in our team Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through production, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and specifications. Collaborate with Sales, Product Owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate customer and business requirements into detailed equipment designs and manufacturing packages. Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs, optimize system performance, and support complex mechanized system proposals. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, assembly packages, product manuals, and integration guides. Partner closely with Electrical and Controls Engineering teams to support product design, equipment selection, and system integration activities. Engage with suppliers and customers to support design reviews, equipment procurement, technical documentation, and project execution using SAP and other engineering tools. Analyze operational and engineering data related to system performance, productivity, throughput, and costs to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices. Your profile Proven experience designing and developing complex mechanical systems and components, including proficiency with engineering analysis and simulation tools. Expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, and other 3D CAD software for detailed design, modeling, and documentation.
