Job Description:
Department
Control Functions is one of the three business aligned verticals in IT Delivery (the other two being Front Office and Trade Operations). Control Functions fulfils the requirements in the area of valuation, market and credit risk, financial control and regulatory compliance i.e. post trading operations.
The team has a broad range of complementary skill sets and is dynamic yet highly disciplined in its approach. It employs a large Microsoft technical stack with a mix of on-premises and azure cloud functions. Working on one of the key interfaces between the business and IT, a good understanding of the commodity trading business context in which the applications are used, as well as solid IT software engineering practices are both of paramount importance.
Position purpose
The team's core responsibility includes developing bespoke systems, reporting solutions and integrations into proprietary and third-party vendor systems to meet the business needs for Treasury, Finance, Tax, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Contracts and Settlements and Product Control.
The team is focused on delivering best-in-class solutions that are strategically aligned, robust, supportable, and operationally efficient. We operate within a flat team structure, where each team member is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of their solutions.
