How you will make an impact The Senior Principal Scientist 1 is charged with leading, designing, conducting, and analyzing experimental work to support Halozyme’s drug delivery platform, alliance collaborations, and device research. This position identifies and develops technical innovations to promote future business growth and improvements that meet Halozyme’s and its partners' requirements. The Senior Principal Scientist 1 brings expertise in subcutaneous (SC) drug delivery and familiarity with preclinical models in both large and small animals. They engage with several Halozyme departments such as Product Development, Business Development, Device Development, and Intellectual Property Council. They also partner with Drug Delivery teams at alliances to lead discussions, compile and present data, attend meetings, and review clinical and regulatory materials as needed. In this position, you’ll have the chance to: Plan, build, and conduct in vivo nonclinical exploratory and preclinical drug delivery studies to evaluate SC drug delivery and device technologies using Halozyme’s drug delivery platforms. Collaborate with platform teams to plan, build, conduct, analyze, and interpret data, and prepare nonclinical study reports and summaries to support drug delivery efforts. Ensure successful completion of nonclinical studies to meet clinical needs for Halozyme and its alliance partners. Support Halozyme’s and its partners' regulatory filings by drafting and/or reviewing clinical trial study protocols, drug administration instructions, pharmacy manuals, and other regulatory documents.
