Purpose and Impact
The Brewer is responsible for producing high-quality wort and bright beer that meet established quality standards while supporting safe and efficient brewing operations. This role plays an important part in maintaining product quality, operating brewing equipment, and ensuring sanitation and cleaning procedures are completed in accordance with brewery standards.
Responsibilities
Brewing Operations
Produce wort within specifications in the brewhouse and transfer product to fermenters.
Perform yeast handling activities and support fermentation processes.
Operate brewing equipment, including centrifuges, filters, and associated systems.
Quality & Production Support
Supply the packaging department with high-quality bright beer that meets production standards.
Perform data entry, spreadsheet calculations, and analytical tasks to support production activities.
Monitor production results and maintain accurate operational records.
Cleaning & Sanitation
Clean-in-place (CIP) brewing equipment, tanks, centrifuges, filters, and associated systems.
Maintain CIP checklists and ensure sanitation procedures are completed accurately.
