Lead End-to-End QCS Deliveries as a Senior Project Engineer
Are you passionate about high technology and production-specific processes? We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer, QCS based in Indonesia . In this role, you will take technical responsibility for delivering Quality Control Systems in both office and paper mill environments. You will lead critical project phases from system definition and testing through commissioning and performance validation. Working closely with customers, project teams, and site personnel, you will help ensure successful project execution while supporting operational excellence in the pulp and paper industry.
Your responsibilities
Lead the planning of QCS projects with the Project Manager, including scheduling, risk analysis, contingency planning, and installation readiness.
Participate in project definition activities, including kick-off meetings, responsibility allocation, system definition, customer communication, and milestone management.
Take ownership of system initialization and configuration activities involving both internal and external resources.
Organize and lead internal testing activities and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Lead on-site execution activities and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
Coordinate work schedules for site personnel and maintain regular communication with customers regarding project progress and schedules.
Manage change requests together with the Project Manager to support successful project delivery.
Ensure successful commissioning of sensors, measurements, and delivered quality control applications while meeting customer expectations and performance guarantees.
Deliver customer training, manage punch-list completion, and support a smooth transition of systems to service.
Finalize system documentation, prepare commissioning reports including delivered value and ROI, and collect customer feedback for continuous improvement.
Expectations from you
Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
2-5 years of relevant engineering experience with increasing responsibility in project delivery.
Strong experience in pulp and paper processes, plant operations, and maintenance.
Expertise in quality management and measurement systems used in paper and board manufacturing.
Knowledge of modern plant control systems and control tuning techniques.
Experience with installation, commissioning, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
Hands-on experience handling cross-directional and machine-directional control techniques in paper and board machines.
Experience working with radioactive source handling in industrial environments.
Proven project engineering or project execution experience, including logic development.
Diploma in Paper Technology or experience from a reputed paper mill is considered an advantage.
