Ledcor Highway Maintenance provides year-round highway maintenance services under long-term contracts to Alberta’s Transportation and Economic Corridors in the Edmonton and Grande Prairie areas. We are seeking Senior Project Managers with the leadership experience and expertise to oversee and support the delivery of critical highway maintenance projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of these projects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within scope and budget, and in alignment with the industry's highest quality and safety standards. In this senior‑level capacity, you will provide strategic direction, lead cross‑functional teams, optimize operational performance, and contribute to a culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role oversees multiple highway maintenance projects with total project durations ranging from three to ten years in various locations and varying levels of complexity across multiple clients and distinct contract requirements. The typical total revenue portfolio for this role is approximately $60M per year, with individual projects values ranging from $5M to $30M per year. The role typically oversees between three and seven direct reports and interacts closely with the operations teams to facilitate project delivery with dedicated workforces, typically ranging from 20 – 70 craft employees and associated subcontractors and vendors. Essential Responsibilities:
Champion and uphold Ledcor’s safety-first culture, ensuring all safety and
environmental standards are met or exceeded on all project work sites
Oversee the project financial health, including project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation using industry-standard tools and methodologies
Manage project systems, including cost tracking, reporting, and documentation
Support the implementation of the Quality Management Program and ensure
compliance with internal and external quality specifications and requirements
Coordinate with team members to engage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Effective contract execution and change order management
Engage with and support labour relations, human resources, and payroll teams with the application of systems such as Workday and InEight
Be a key conduit and primary holder of the client relationship at the project level
Key Considerations and Qualifications:
Minimum 10 (ten) years' experience working in dynamic project manager roles, including construction, services or industrial settings
Deep understanding of Health and Safety as a core company value
