Position Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager - Permitting to join our Project Delivery team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of project managers and drive successful execution of high-profile and complex permitting projects in the DC, MD, and VA region. You’ll work closely with clients, municipal agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless, on-time project delivery while advancing best-in-class service standards.
What You’ll Do
Manage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects—from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion.
Serve as the primary communication hub for all assigned projects: Providing proactive status updates to the Manager, internal Project Management team, and clients on a daily and weekly cadence
Escalating issues before they become delays
Ensuring no stakeholder is left waiting for critical information
Serve as a direct point of contact for clients, bringing professionalism, responsiveness, care, and strong interpersonal communication skills to every interaction; maintain and strengthen client relationships through consistent communication, reliable follow-through, and a service-first, solutions-oriented mindset.
Demonstrate flexibility in meeting client demands within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Maintain detailed project records and provide regular, structured status updates to clients and internal management teams.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams.
Oversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, and risk tracking.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards.
Prepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates for leadership and clients.
Contribute to productivity goals and continuous improvement efforts.
Serve as a mentor for other project team members
