Senior QA Engineer – Automation Testing Experience: 4+ Years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in mobile automation and manual testing . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Appium, Java, BDD, Cucumber, and Page Object Model (POM) , along with a solid understanding of mobile application testing. The role involves building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, testing Android/iOS applications, troubleshooting automation issues, and ensuring high-quality software releases. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency. Key Responsibilities 1. Mobile Automation (Appium - Java) & Manual Testing Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Appium, BDD, and Cucumber. Implement reusable and scalable automation components following Page Object Model (POM) and automation best practices. Execute tests across Android/iOS devices and emulators/simulators using Appium. Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing for mobile applications. Maintain automation scripts and frameworks to support application enhancements, new features, and regression testing. Troubleshoot automation failures and ensure reliable test execution. 2. API & Performance Testing Perform API testing and automation using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent tools. Validate API responses, payloads, headers, and error handling. Conduct performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent tools. Analyse test results and identify performance bottlenecks. 3. Workflow Automation & CI/CD Develop automation solutions using Google Apps Script for Google Docs, Sheets, and other Google Workspace tools. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools. Leverage AI tools and prompt engineering to improve testing, automation, and productivity. Exposure to AI workflow automation is an added advantage. 4. Collaboration & Mentoring Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, and test planning. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve defects. Mentor junior team members in manual and automation testing. Contribute to QA strategy and continuous process improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing. Strong knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools. Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with API automation using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools. Hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent performance testing tools. Experience with Google Apps Script and workflow automation. Understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
