BruckEdwards is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Red Hat Systems Engineer with exceptional initiative to design, integrate, deploy, maintain, and support a Linux-based infrastructure for a mission-critical federal system. This individual will help ensure the availability, security, performance, and reliability of enterprise systems supporting government identity management programs. Experience supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate authorities, and/or certificate lifecycle operations is preferred but not required.
Requirements
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
Maintain the availability, performance, reliability, and security of Linux-based infrastructure
Perform system installations, configurations, patching, upgrades, and maintenance
Diagnose and resolve operating system, application, network connectivity, storage, and performance issues
Support highly available, customer-facing production environments
Implement system hardening and applicable cybersecurity controls
Support virtualized environments using OpenShift, KVM, VMware, or similar technologies
Monitor system health and logs and recommend corrective actions
Maintain configurations, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting documentation
Develop and engineer new solutions to meet best practices, security, and compliance standards
Support the deployment and configuration of hardware and software
Maintain documentation of configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Support PKI components and certificate lifecycle activities as needed
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship required
Active Top Secret security clearance
