About the role
Agile Robots SE is a high-tech startup based in Munich. Our mission is to bridge the gap between AI and robotics by developing robotic systems that offer state-of-the-art full-body force sensitivity and world-leading vision intelligence. This unique combination of technologies enables us to provide intelligent, easy-to-use and affordable robotic solutions with safe human-robot interaction.
We are a dynamic and innovative software development company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology. We specialize in creating cutting-edge solutions that transform industries and redefine user experiences
Your Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute structured test plans for robotic components, modules, and fully integrated systems
Validate functionality, robustness, and performance of software and hardware in real robotic platforms
Develop Python-based test scripts, tools, and automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage
Contribute C++ code when required for low-level testing, tooling, or integration support
Analyze robot behavior and system performance, identifying root causes for issues related to kinematics, motion planning, control, perception, or hardware interaction
Evaluate and debug complex robotic behaviors such as singularities, joint limit violations, trajectory instabilities, and configuration inconsistencies
Work with URDF models, coordinate transformations, and robot descriptions to validate system correctness
Support development and refinement of application demos, internal showcases, and customer-facing use cases• Collaborate closely with software, electronics, controls, and mechanical teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes
Document test procedures, results, defects, and system performance in a clear and structured manner
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies, coverage, and automation infrastructure• Support field tests, prototype validation, demos and integration activities when required
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Minimum 5 years of experience in robotics testing, applications engineering, integration, or system validation roles
Strong hands-on experience writing Python for testing, automation, data analysis, and robot interaction
Experience with C++ is a plus (especially for writing tests, tools, or interfacing with robot drivers)
Solid understanding of core robotics concepts, including kinematics, dynamics, singularities, joint limits, URDFs, coordinate transformations, and motion constraints
Experiencein testing and validating software and hardware modules in integrated robotic systems
