This critical opportunity is ideal for a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working across multiple engineering disciplines, and translating customer and business needs into robust, well-engineered solutions. You'll play a key role in establishing systems engineering best practice, driving technical governance, and ensuring products are released with confidence in their performance, safety, reliability, and compliance. What You'll Be Doing Working closely with Research, Product Development, Software, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Production, Quality, and Regulatory teams, you will: Requirements Engineering Lead the capture, analysis, and management of customer, stakeholder, business, and regulatory requirements Translate user needs into clear, measurable, and testable system requirements Establish and maintain complete bidirectional traceability throughout the product lifecycle Facilitate requirements reviews and ensure alignment between stakeholders and development teams Manage requirement changes and maintain configuration control throughout development System Architecture & Design Contribute to system architecture development and technical solution definition Support concept development, requirements allocation, and design trade-off activities Evaluate technical decisions against performance, reliability, compliance, manufacturability, and business objectives Ensure solutions remain scalable, maintainable, and testable Risk Management & Technical Governance Lead system-level risk assessments and FMEA activities Identify, communicate, and manage technical risks throughout product development Facilitate design reviews and provide robust technical justification for engineering decisions Apply systems-thinking approaches to root cause investigations and problem solving Verification & Validation Develop verification and validation strategies aligned to system and product requirements Define acceptance criteria, verification methods, and evidence requirements Review verification results and validation outcomes to ensure complete coverage of requirements Support system-level testing activities and provide objective assessments of product readiness Leadership & Continuous Improvement Champion systems engineering best practices across the business About You We're looking for…
