Job Title: Server Engineer Reports to (Direct Title): Sr Manager, Infrastructure Department: IT Position Summary The Server Engineer is part of a team that supports IT infrastructure solutions for the global organization. The role works with other IT teams to help maintain the availability, performance, and security of corporate IT systems and services; participates in migrations, upgrades, integrations, and deployments; and provides technical and operational support to team members and stakeholders. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Support the implementation, maintenance, and operation of infrastructure platforms including physical servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud-hosted services. Assist with lifecycle management activities for server hardware and infrastructure platforms, including deployment, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and decommissioning activities. Support and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, OpenStack, KVM, or equivalent technologies. Support enterprise storage solutions including SAN, NAS, replication, and capacity management activities. Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to help meet business continuity and data protection objectives. Maintain and support Windows and Linux server environments, including patching, system maintenance, automation, and operational support. Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and reliability and escalate issues as appropriate. Support and maintain automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or similar tools. Participate in infrastructure projects including platform deployments, migrations, upgrades, and cloud initiatives. Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams and contribute to technical documentation and operational procedures. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support critical infrastructure operations outside of business hours.
