YOUR ROLE
Our Ground & Rail operation in Daventry is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join the team! You’ll lead the day-to-day warehouse operation, keeping things safe, compliant and running smoothly.
This is a Sunday to Thursday shift, 22:00 - 06:30. This role pays up to £36,500 per annum.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Lead and support a small team of Warehouse Operatives, keeping the team motivated, engaged and focused on delivering daily targets.
Take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed, and the warehouse remains safe, clean and compliant.
Plan and allocate people and resources effectively to meet daily workloads, operational targets and customer requirements.
Monitor team performance and key operational KPIs, addressing issues promptly and providing support to keep performance on track.
Deliver clear shift briefings, provide coaching and guidance, and support team members to develop and perform at their best.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity and customer service across the operation.
Support stock control activities, including cycle counts and investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, using problem-solving and root-cause analysis to improve processes and drive more efficient ways of working.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience leading or supervising a team within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment. You will have a good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control, Health & Safety and operational KPIs. You will be…
