Role Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage, and movement of materials to support manufacturing and automation projects. This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, ensures compliance with customer and company shipping requirements, and maintains strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams. The position plays a key role in inventory management, material handling, line-side support, and the accurate processing of purchasing, receiving, and accounting documentation. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, logistics or supply chain experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Receiving & Inspection
Validate all incoming shipments to ensure supplier paperwork matches physical items received and JR purchase orders.
Verify quantities received against purchase orders, packing lists, and supplier documentation.
Engage the Build Team and Engineering in quality control reviews of incoming shipments.
Perform material “check-in” processes to confirm delivery to the Build Team.
Logistics & Transportation Coordination
Schedule and coordinate all LTL freight and small parcel pickups and deliveries (e.g., FedEx, UPS).
Adhere to all client shipping guidelines, routing requirements, and packaging standards.
Communicate shipment status, exceptions, delays, tracking details, insurance information, and claims in a timely manner.
Maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners.
