Duties, Responsibilities & Other
The Cloud Infrastructure Administrator supports day-to-day operations, reliability, and security of the Microsoft Azure environment, focusing on Azure IaaS, Azure NetApp Files (ANF), Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This role supports provisioning, configuration, monitoring, incident response, daily operations, and modernization initiatives that include migrating file services into ANF.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
Azure IaaS
Create/maintain Azure Resource Groups according to established naming, tagging, and environment standards to support ownership and lifecycle clarity.
Assist with operational governance activities (tag hygiene, stale resource cleanup, cost/usage visibility).
Apply least-privilege access principles using Azure RBAC and standard built-in roles; support periodic access reviews and remediation tasks assigned by security/lead.
Support day-to-day Azure networking fundamentals such as VNets/subnets, NSGs, routing, DNS, and secure connectivity troubleshooting in coordination with network/security teams.
