Available Title(s): 1281-YN_ADMINPRO - Public Relations/Communication Coordinator Business Title: Social Media Manager Employee Type: Admin. Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Social Media Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of WSU Pullman social channels and translates university and brand priorities into compelling, visually engaging, social-first storytelling. In this role, you will develop content and campaigns, create and edit multimedia content, support creator and influencer partnerships, engage WSU’s online communities, and use social listening and performance insights to continuously strengthen WSU’s social presence. You will also monitor online conversation and sentiment, identifies and escalates emerging reputational issues, and partners with communications leadership to support timely, appropriate responses during issues and crises.  Additional Information: This is a full time (100 % FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 - $6,763.06 Monthly | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field AND either two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Two (2) years of professional experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, content creation or a related field.  Strong understanding of current social trends, creator culture and evolving platform best practices.  Demonstrated experience managing and creating content for social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and YouTube.  Experience planning and executing social media campaigns or content initiatives.  Experience capturing, designing and editing social-first creative, particularly…
