Job Posting Title: Social Science/Humanities Research Associate IV - Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program Contractor, Outreach & Training Services - Texas Center for Disability Studies ---- Hiring Department: School of Social Work ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 ---- FLSA Status: Exempt from FLSA ---- Earliest Start Date: Immediately ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Sep 30, 2027 ---- Location: PICKLE RESEARCH CAMPUS ---- Job Details: General Notes This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Periodic travel within the State of Texas required. Purpose This position will support the Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP). This position will provide outreach, training, case management and support services to STAP applicants, certifiers, and stakeholders. They will provide technical assistance, answering phone calls and replying to emails promptly. Additional duties may be assigned supporting the Texas Technology Access Program grants. They will perform responsible research and administrative work involving research projects, training programs, or the business operations of a research organization. They will be responsible for the preliminary planning and scheduling of research projects and assignment of projects to staff members, in addition to preliminary planning of research projects to be undertaken and allocates research assignments. They will supervise, check and advise staff on progress of research work assigned from commencement through distribution of published results. This position will oversee the organization's research facilities. They will supervise and administer pre-service and in-service training programs conducted by the organization. Oversee the inquiry and consulting services provided by the organization to interest groups on and off the campus. May be responsible for certain administrative functions. Performs related duties as required. Responsibilities Support the Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP) Grant. Train on access and usage of the STAP program. Conduct outreach, vendor recruitment, and consumer technical assistance. Assist with budget management, monthly data collection, and reporting to the grantor. Support Texas Technology Access Program (TTAP) grant obligations through outreach events, social media activities, and other TTAP projects. Other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study with at least 6 years of experience conducting outreach activities.
