Quantum Systems builds unmanned systems for air, ground and sea. Headquartered near Munich and operating globally, we develop every core technology in-house: platforms, mission software and AI-driven analytics. Armed forces, security agencies and critical infrastructure operators rely on our systems when situational awareness and speed of decision define the outcome. The most convincing thing we can post is the hardware doing its job: an aircraft lifting off a wet field in crosswind, an engineer explaining a fix at the edge of a test range, a ground station during a live exercise.
You capture those moments and cut them into vertical video people watch to the end. 9:16 is your home format. You shoot it, edit it and deliver it the same day when the moment calls for it.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
Shoot short-form video at our sites, test ranges, exercises and trade shows, mostly 9:16 and often in a single take.
Shoot stills on the same days: hardware in the field, portraits of engineers and operators, event coverage for LinkedIn posts and Instagram carousels. Video comes first; photography is a smaller but regular part of the job.
Edit for retention: open on the strongest frame, land the hook in the first one to three seconds, then hold attention with cut rhythm, pattern interrupts and captions built for sound-off viewing. Deliver cuts for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn, plus 1:1 or 16:9 where a format needs it.
Turn the Social Creative's briefs into finished pieces. Bring your own ideas for the visual hook (the opening frame, the reveal, the payoff shot) and report back what the brief missed.
Recut long and horizontal footage for vertical: reframe 16:9 to 9:16, find the moment that works as a cold open and tighten the pace until nothing drags. Sources include interviews, demos and event streams.
Film engineers and operators who have never stood in front of a camera, and get usable answers from them.
Keep footage named, tagged and archived so a clip from March is findable in October.
What you bring to the team:
At least two years shooting and editing short-form vertical video. Your links show work you both shot and edit, and you can explain why each piece holds past the first three seconds.
Fluency in short-form mechanics: hook timing, cut rhythm, loops, text inside the platform safe zones, captions for sound-off viewing and sound choices that work within a company account's music licences. You read a retention graph and can say where viewers left and what you would change in the next cut.
A current eye for visual trends on Reels and Shorts: editing styles, transitions, text treatments. You know which are rising, which have peaked and which would look wrong on a defence channel.
Solid photography: composition, light and colour editing in Lightroom, and the habit of switching from video to stills without missing the moment.
Professional editing in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus native tools…
