What it’s like to be a Northbridge Software Asset Management Analyst at Northbridge Financial The Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst is responsible for managing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets across Northbridge Financial Corporation, including acquisition, inventory tracking, utilization, compliance, optimization, and disposal. This role maintains accurate asset and licensing records, monitors software usage, and ensures compliance with vendor agreements and corporate policies. Working closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, and business stakeholders, the SAM Analyst supports software audits, contract renewals, asset reporting, and governance initiatives. The successful candidate will help identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce compliance risk, improve asset visibility, and ensure the organization maximizes the value of its technological investments through effective asset management practices. If you are great at: Software Asset Management (SAM) Software Licensing and License Compliance Management Vendor Audit Management and License Reconciliation IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) Asset Lifecycle Management Vendor and Contract Management Financial and Cost Optimization Analysis Data Analysis, Reporting, and Metrics Development Asset Management Platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera) Stakeholder Relationship Management Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. If you have: Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of Software Asset Management experience (or equivalent experience for senior roles). Experience with Flexera is a requirement. Strong understanding of software licensing models, vendor agreements, and compliance requirements. Experience managing major software vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, SAP, VMware, or Salesforce. Experience conducting software compliance reviews.
