About Invisix
Semiconductor manufacturers can't build what they can't measure. Invisix Measuring Systems is a fast-growing scale-up in the high-tech industry, developing next-generation metrology solutions for the semiconductor sector. We work at the intersection of optics, software, and data.
We're a small team, but the depth of knowledge inside Invisix is anything but small. Our culture is professional and fast-paced, with short communication lines and a strong sense of shared purpose. Everyone here is committed, and everyone knows their work directly contributes to something bigger.
The Role
We're looking for a software engineer to build the machine orchestration software for our metrology equipment: hardware coordination, sequencing, machine calibration and alignment amongst others.
Working closely with the architect and our functional experts, this role covers the non-embedded part of the software stack. As part of a small, close-knit team, you'll set technical direction for the machine orchestration software while staying hands-on yourself.
This posting covers multiple positions on the team. Where you land, and how much technical ownership you take on from day one, depends on your experience and where your strengths turn out to be strongest.
Key Responsibilities
Act as technical lead for the equipment control software platform: set direction, make architectural decisions, and coordinate with the architect and engineering team
Turn high-level measurement instructions into precise commands for the machine's hardware, including converting between different positioning reference frames
Develop and refine the automated routines that position, align and calibrate the system, and build the user interface components that operators use to run them
Design and maintain the interfaces between the software that controls the hardware and the software that sits above it, serving as the hub that connects teams and components
Work with the architect to assess deliverables, validate effort estimates, and plan and track progress
Take on adjacent responsibilities as the team grows, such as CI/CD ownership or product-owner-style backlog and stakeholder coordination
Is this you?
Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 4 to 8 years of professional software development experience
Comfortable taking technical ownership and leading by example in a small, hands-on team, with a startup mindset and a willingness to step into adjacent gaps as the team grows
C# skills, with experience in: WPF, python and familiarity with gRPC and structured text
Actively applies AI tooling across the development lifecycle (coding, testing, DevOps/CI-CD, performance tuning, GUI development, documentation) to boost efficiency
What We Offer
A role at the heart of Invisix's equipment software, with real technical ownership from day one
