Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient applications, while adhering to best practices in the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in software design discussions and analyze user requirements to define technical solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable code.
Test, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify and fix defects efficiently.
Follow established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.
Support product releases and provide ongoing maintenance and issue resolution.
Work with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve program-related challenges.
Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
2-5 years of hands-on experience in software design and development.
Technical Skills
Strong experience in: Java 8+/ J2EE
Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
Familiarity with: Azure (preferred)
Oracle Database 19C
Hibernate & JPA
Distributed systems and caching technologies
Messaging platforms (e.g., MQ, Kafka)
Knowledge of: RESTful APIs
SQL and database design
Domain Knowledge
Financial industry domain i.e. Cross Border Payments experience is preferred.
Good understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC.
Core Competencies
Ability to independently solve moderately complex technical problems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coding skills.
Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
Strong customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
