J ob Description:
We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our B2C engineering team and help build, maintain, and improve a global consumer weather platform used by millions of users. This is an opportunity to work on high-traffic, customer-facing web products where performance, reliability, usability, and scalability are critical.
The successful candidate will work closely with frontend and backend engineers, QA, product, and UX teams to deliver reliable, performant, and user-friendly web experiences.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Develop and maintain modern web applications using JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML and CSS.
Contribute to a global weather website serving millions of users.
Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services.
Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and production problems.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
Work closely with QA to support testing, releases, and production deployments.
Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams across multiple locations and time zones.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
Strong experience with JavaScript and modern frontend development.
Good working knowledge of React.
Familiarity with Next.js, including client-side and server-side rendering concepts.
Strong understanding of CSS, responsive design, and modern web layouts.
Experience integrating with REST APIs or similar backend services.
Experience with Git-based development workflows and pull requests.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of browser behaviour, web performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
