Software Test Engineer – API Testing

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong experience in API and backend testing, with a focus on exploratory testing, debugging, and validating system behavior across services. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute exploratory and functional test scenarios Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI Validate API responses (status codes, payloads, error handling) Test end-to-end workflows across services Perform database validation using SQL queries Debug issues across API and backend layers Log and track defects with clear analysis Collaborate with developers and product teams Required Skills: Strong experience in API testing Hands-on with tools like Postman / Swagger / SOAP UI Good understanding of client-server architecture Knowledge of caching mechanisms and cookies Strong test case design and exploratory testing skills Good debugging and analytical skills Clear bug reporting and communication skills Good to have skills: Experience with API automation tools Understanding of microservices architecture Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines What we value : Strong questioning mindset Ability to identify edge cases and failure scenarios Ownership of quality, not just testing tasks If this sounds like you, go ahead and share your details—we’d love to connect.
