About the role We're looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our networking team, delivering remote and on-site support, infrastructure deployments and technical consultancy for customers across a range of industries. You'll be recognised as a subject matter expert in networking, leading projects in your specialism and helping drive best practice and technical excellence across the wider team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of an infrastructure project – from scoping and design through to hands-on delivery and hand-over – while also having the chance to mentor others and shape how the team works. What you'll be doing Technical delivery Delivering high-quality installation, configuration and maintenance of customer infrastructure, including SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network), switching, firewalls, wireless, SSE/SASE (Secure Service Edge/Secure Access Service Edge) and other network devices Acting as an escalation point for complex technical faults within your area of specialism Troubleshooting and resolving advanced infrastructure issues across networking estates Designing, implementing and migrating enterprise network solutions including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VLANs, firewalls and secure wireless, across vendors such as Meraki, Fortinet and Cisco Project leadership Leading the delivery of projects with a primary focus on networking – including network refreshes, LAN/WAN and SD-WAN rollouts, and firewall and wireless deployments – while also contributing to cloud migrations, infrastructure deployments and security implementations Managing technical workstreams within larger programmes, typically owning the network workstream while coordinating with project managers, consultants and third-party vendors Attending and contributing to customer calls for technical scoping, solution design and implementation planning Undertaking and documenting site surveys, technical audits and readiness assessments Supporting new customer onboarding and technology transitions, ensuring a smooth handover to service operations Documentation and standards Auditing and documenting client infrastructure to a high standard, maintaining accurate configuration records Developing and maintaining best-practice documentation, knowledge base articles and technical runbooks for your specialist area Providing detailed solution designs and technical proposals to meet…
