Job Duties Landmark, a Halliburton company, builds the software and data platforms that help the global energy industry make better decisions. Our products span subsurface interpretation, well construction planning, reservoir simulation, and digital operations: tools used daily by engineers and scientists at the world’s largest energy companies. We are investing significantly in our engineering capability in Oslo, and these roles are part of building a permanent, locally owned engineering organization to take long-term ownership of the platform. The role You will define what a great inner loop looks like at Landmark and make it real across our repositories, for the engineers who work here today and for the AI agents we are wiring into the workflow.  The Developer Experience team owns the tools, standards, and workflows that determine how quickly and reliably software is delivered at Landmark. The team is newly established and operates with executive sponsorship. This is a founding technical role, responsible for defining and implementing the inner-loop standards that the rest of the engineering organization will adopt. Responsibilities  Define the architecture for AI-enabled software development at Landmark, identifying how engineers, AI agents, developer tooling, source control, CI/CD, and internal platforms should work together. Establish the technical standards for a high-performing developer environment, covering local development, build and test workflows, deterministic environments, repository conventions, documentation, and machine-readable interfaces for AI agents.  Design and build the AI tooling layer that connects engineers and AI agents with the systems they use every day, including source control, chat, issue tracking, CI/CD, feature management, and internal developer platforms. Lead technical pilots and reference implementations, working directly in real repositories to validate architectural approaches, solve difficult engineering problems, and define golden paths that other teams can adopt. Define and measure the health of the developer experience, including automated repository assessments, engineering productivity signals, and technical scorecards that identify opportunities for improvement. Drive adoption across the engineering organization, working with teams to introduce new tooling and standards, gather feedback, and continuously improve the developer experience.
