Space Force Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position As a Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs. Preferred Technical Background: Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on: Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites andpayloads Experience with tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, andanalysis Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-groundsystems design into ground software/systems design. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies andtools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
