To support the coordination and implementation of Continuing Education division courses and programs.
Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks:
Provide technical and instructional support for the CNC machining program, including setup, calibration, and maintenance of CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment.
Assist instructors in preparing lab exercises, demonstrations, and hands-on training activities aligned with CNC machining curriculum and industry standards.
Monitor and enforce lab and shop safety protocols, ensuring students follow proper procedures when operating CNC equipment and hand tools.
Maintain inventory of tooling, materials, and consumable supplies, and coordinate procurement or replacement as needed.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or vendor service calls to minimize instructional downtime.
Support curriculum development by researching current CNC machining technologies, software (e.g., CAD/CAM programs), and industry certifications.
Assist with student assessments, including monitoring skill demonstrations, machine operation competency, and program-required certifications.
