Job Summary
The Sr. Accountant, Corporate Accounting will play a key role in recording general ledger activity for our corporate entities and partnering closely with teams across the organization to deliver accurate, timely internal reporting. The associate will serve as a trusted business partner by providing clear, reliable financial insights and communicating results to key stakeholders. This role will also conduct and present detailed accounting analyses that support precise and timely actuals reporting for internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess full cycle accounting experience, strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Drive month‑end and ongoing accounting activity by preparing and reviewing journal entries, including allocations, reclasses, and accruals, as well as completing accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage payroll accounting processes including recording bi-weekly payroll expense, month-end accruals, burden expenses (e.g., medical and worker’s compensation insurance) and reconciling payroll cash disbursements.
Coordinate and liaise with Human Resources department to investigate and research payroll variances.
Partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather the information needed for timely and accurate expense accruals.
Lead monthly analyses for assigned income statement accounts, providing clear variance explanations and proactively addressing issues as they arise.
Monitor corporate entity income statement activity throughout the month to ensure expenses are routed to the correct departments and cost centers.
