Overview
Rimkus is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Senior Consultant to provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for projects involving assessments, design, restoration, maintenance, upgrades, and new construction across commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. This role works closely with Principals, Practice Leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate building systems, develop engineering solutions, manage projects, and support client relationships nationwide.
The successful candidate will lead mechanical engineering projects from initial assessment through project completion, perform field investigations, prepare technical reports and designs, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex projects involving existing building systems, adaptive reuse, facility improvements, and new construction initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, including projects involving multiple disciplines.
Serve as the primary project contact, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
Collaborate with licensed professionals in the design, assessment, renovation, restoration, and construction of commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.
Provide technical expertise for projects involving building systems assessments, upgrades, maintenance programs, restoration efforts, and new construction.
