We are currently looking for a Sr. Production Supervisor to join our team full-time to support our variety of customers. The Senior Production Supervisor position encompasses the staffing, supervision, direction, training and evaluation of all employees onthe production lines. Directs and controls multiple production operations and production work teams, all production lines and all buildings while on shift. This person is the on-site supervisor for the production teams plus support group staff.
Requirements
Essential Job Duties
Safely ensures all phases of manufacturing are being performed efficiently and effectively.
Identifies and solves any issues or problems with equipment or personnel.
Recommends and drives formula improvements, equipment and engineering revisions.
Maintains open lines of communication with sales, marketing, scheduling, quality/lab, maintenance, and warehouse support groups to ensure production schedules are met.
Coordinates and administer all aspects of training for new hires as well as long term associates.
Complies with and enforce all company policies and procedures, providing feedback in a professional manner.
Ensures consistent and maximum throughput while maintaining acceptable quality control.
Ensures efficient use of manpower by effective planning of vacation schedules and arranging the required manpower coverage when necessary.
Ensures that product loss and scrap production are kept to a minimum.
Administers performance appraisals of production associates and supervisors.
Establishes, communicates and provides timely feedback to assigned workforce on objectives, goals and expectations.
Ensures complete and accurate information is entered into SAP in a timely manner.
Ensure production supply inventories are maintained and notification of the appropriate purchasing associates when items need to be re-stocked.
Reviews and maintains correct information in E-Time for proper allocation of production team members’ hours.
Ensures that performance issues (positive and negative) are reported and handled in accordance with the company policy by partnering with department manager and human resources.
Coordinates with other Production Supervisors to provide seamless shift turnover and manpower coverage as well as sharing best practices.
Coordinates with other Production Supervisors to ensure 24/7 coverage of site.
Ensures plant production area housekeeping is maintained in accordance with housekeeping guidelines.
Update metrics and KPIs as required.
