We are actively looking for a Structural Engineer – Bridge Focus to join our Richmond office. As part of the Structural Group, the Structural Engineer will be self-motivated, committed to high-quality work performance, capable of being self-sufficient, must have excellent planning and communication skills, and the ability to work with other staff in a project team environment. This position will provide the ideal candidate with an opportunity to work on exciting projects and grow within the local and companywide structural team.

Duties and responsibilities:

Develops plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed
Design of structures in the field of civil transportation including bridges, and other structures such as culverts, retaining walls and sound walls. Maintain quality control of the work product and effectively complete projects on time and within budget
Helps resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project
Calculates quantity and cost estimates
Will, at times, be required to lead project tasks by coordinating, scheduling, and supervising the work of team members
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
