We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our Tax team in Toronto for a twelve-month term. In this role, you will provide assistance in Oxford and OMERS's Tax department, focusing on US tax matters. We are looking for someone to join us on a 12-month term starting at the end of April 2027. You'll be able to participate in a broad range of tax-related work requiring analysis, assessment, and quantification. You will be responsible for:
Assistance with research and analysis of tax issues
Help with preparation of tax provisions, making tax payments, and maintenance of summary and control/tracking documentation
Research US federal and state tax notices to determine resolution and handle communication with the relevant tax authority
Draft technical memos to file and other tax-related documents to be reviewed by senior team members
Assist the US tax team in all aspects of corporate federal and state tax initiatives
May assist with Canadian tax matters as required
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills, knowledge of excel would be an asset
Currently enrolled in an Accounting and Financial Management program, in 3rd or 4th year.
