Role purpose
We are looking for a Team Manager to lead our Gas & LNG-focused members of the Commodities Global Analyst Team. This global team, based in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and the US, helps produce detailed market supply-demand, cost and price forecasts at the asset, regional and global levels. Commodities is one of our fastest-growing businesses, and the Global Analyst Team plays a major role in transforming it. It is also a key enabler in Wood Mackenzie’s purpose to transform the way we power our planet.
Main responsibilities
You will hire and lead a group of talented Research Analysts and Associates based in Calgary, Edinburgh, Houston, London, Mexico City and Rio. You will build a strong talent pipeline and support development of those analysts. You will communicate a clear purpose and set of goals to your team and will collaborate with the Head of the Commodities Global Analyst Team and the other Research Managers to build effective hiring, onboarding and development processes for our Gas & LNG-focused colleagues. You will work closely with senior experts across the business to build strong coaching relationships across the Global Analyst Team.
In partnership with the managers of the Assets and Markets Research teams, you will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of our research programme in Gas & LNG. Those managers set the research agenda; you make sure the team is resourced, capable, and on schedule to deliver it.
You will also identify opportunities for your direct reports in different functions (e.g. Consulting, Product, Sales) and support the wider transformation of our Commodities business.
