Reporting to the Technical support Controls Team Manager , the Technical Support Controls Specialist is responsible for Programming and troubleshooting various automation platforms remotely on brand new equipment as well as systems that have been installed.
Trojan Technologies is seeking a Technical Support Controls Specialist to join our dynamic team in London, Ontario. This role plays a critical part in providing expert support for automation platforms, troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment, and ensuring the seamless operation of advanced systems both remotely and on-site. You will engage with both internal teams and external customers to resolve technical challenges related to controls systems, working autonomously and utilizing your technical expertise.
This position is part of the Trojan Technical Support located in London, Ontario, Canada and will be on-site with 10% travel required.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Engaging with customers (both external as well as internal from other departments) via phone and e-mail to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment, computer systems, and software.
Will have project-based work in a typical week
10% of your “on site” days being at a customer’s site to work on a project tailored to a specific location
The essential requirements of the job include:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Controls Engineering
3+ years of experience in a Controls/Automation role
3+ years of SCADA and PLC experience with Rockwell controls software or RS Logix…
