Your Role at Cabot:
Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician located in our Development and Manufacturing Center in Pampa, Texas. In this role you will perform the necessary tests outlined in the Cabot Test Method manual on carbon blacks and carbon black feedstock. Your role is critical to ensuring that the Pampa Plant and the Pampa Development and Manufacturing Center’s production meets customer requirements. This position will work a rotating 12-hour schedule supporting all Pampa facilities.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
Using your knowledge, skills and abilities, you will ensure our products meet various customer specifications. This role requires a self-motivated person with a positive attitude, strong organization skills, and urgency to make things happen. A successful candidate will be someone who can:
Effectively and efficiently perform product and raw materials testing using laboratory devices and instrumentation
Set up and operate testing equipment for new and special tests
Identify and immediately communicate any out of specification test results to Pampa Facilities Operations to expedite corrective action
Record test data in spreadsheets and / or tabulates and enter test results in Laboratory Information Management System
Calibrate testing equipment and perform equipment maintenance as needed to ensure quality results
Notify laboratory Lead Tech / Supervisor of needed supplies
Identify and actively participate in continuous improvement opportunities
Demonstrate safety minded and good housekeeping habits
Actively follow Responsible Care 14001 (RC14001) guidelines
Performs other duties as required and assumes additional responsibility as assigned.
