JOB DESCRIPTION: General:  Responsible for ensuring products are packaged safely and accurately for shipment in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. This role includes inspecting, labeling, sealing, and packing items, as well as operating various equipment and machinery as needed. Workers are expected to perform thorough quality inspections to maintain accuracy and product integrity, while also completing all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Key Duties Inspect products for quality and accuracy prior to packaging Label, seal, and pack items according to specifications Operate packaging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently Maintain compliance with company standards and customer requirements Assist with inventory management as needed Work Environment & Expectations Work in a fast-paced environment requiring prolonged standing Perform frequent lifting and handling of parts Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety procedures and guidelines at all times Workers will be cross trained on multiple stations within the department, with the first day consisting of observational training. Work Location: BDC (Bendix Distribution Center) Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Packaging Workstation: Auto Bagger – The worker will enter production order information into the system, retrieve parts from the presentation area, and transport them to the workstation. Based on the production order, parts will be placed into automated bowls that feed items into bags and/or manually fed into bags as required. A first-piece inspection must be completed at the start of each order. Once a full tote of packaged parts is completed, it will be transferred to a pallet box.
