Work Location: Regina, Head Office. This role is eligible for hybrid work option – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (in Regina), on a scheduled rotation once training requirements have been met. Until then, the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site, full-time.
Work hours: 3 days a week, 12-hour days on rotation 7:00 am – 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 7:00 am. (Note: during training, work hours will vary from this schedule.)

General Accountability
The Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring optimal availability and utility of resources, including the grouping, configuration, allocation, and capacity management of those resources. This role safeguards the organization’s computer networks and systems by monitoring, investigating, resolving, or escalating events and activities detected within the monitoring systems, as well as conducting risk assessments and user impact assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, or configuring systems to enhance existing features.
You will be the first responder to monitoring alerts, own the internal and external communication of technical issues and user experience impacts, and the first technical team to execute actions to resolve incidents. You will also be responsible for completing the root cause analysis of all major incidents, which includes coordinating necessary technical teams required to complete the analysis, provide emergency CAB approval for expedited changes as required and audits implemented change requests that lead to potential or actual incident.

Monitors the infrastructure/cloud fabric: the interconnected system of hardware, storage, and networks that support and maintain the cloud fabric.
Ensures optimal health and performance of on-premise systems, cloud fabric, and fabric management.
Plans for facility and hardware failures and maintenance.
Executes queries within Azure Monitor or other monitoring tools to resolve technical issues.
Executes runbooks for all triggered alerts and potential and actual service disruption events.
Monitors networks and systems for security breaches using software that detects intrusions and abnormal system behavior and contains security issues through the execution of predefined runbooks.
Assesses technical security risks in terms of impact to systems and service confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
