DESCRIPTION   Under the direction of the principal and/or assistant principal, the Secondary Technology Education Teacher plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for all students .  Secondary Technology Education Teachers provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of all students to ensure individualized student success.  Secondary Technology Education Teachers provide an understanding of the engineering design and problem-solving processes, and they expose students to industry related technological resources.   Providing real-world career and industry related experiences, Secondary Technology Education Teachers prepare all students for success in a dynamic 21 st century rich with a variety of career pathways .  Secondary Technology Education Teachers are responsible for developing, selecting, and differentiating instructional plans and materials based on the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) curriculum to meet the needs of all students .     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   Applicants must meet all the following qualifications, listed below, to be considered for the vacancy.   Education:   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field of education.   Certification/Licensure:   Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification:   Technology Education 7-12   Industrial Arts 7-12   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS   The ideal candidate for this role will also possess a combination of the additional qualifications below.
