ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES          Repair, maintain and make engineering changes to all tools and fixtures Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required Safely operate all tool room equipment Have abilities to assemble and disassemble tooling, dies and gauges Trouble shoot and resolve tooling problems Work with various materials such as tool steels, plastics, aluminum, and copper Must have or acquire personal tools to perform job assignment QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); journeyman’s certification (preferred) and/or equivalent experience LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence  MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems collects date, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
