Job Title: Touch Up Painter (3rd Shift)
Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly
Reports to: Processing Manager
Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA
Shift Hours :
3rd Shift Monday to Friday 10:00pm to 6:30 am
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00, dependent upon relative experience
Shift Differential: $1.00 /hr in addition to hourly rate
Job Duties:
Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions and be attentive to details
Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types
Mask and de-mask parts as required
Mix paints per manufactures specs
Prep parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning
Complete work flow documentation thoroughly and properly
Inspect results of paint applied
Inspection: Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted
F inal Inspection: Will be trained for Final Inspection responsibilities
Clean and repair paint equipment and keep work area organized
Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times
Keep work area clean
Assist other departments as necessary
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must be 18 years of age
Must have 1+ year experience with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat, preferred
Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
Excellent attendance and positive attitude is required
Team player and willing to learn new skills
W orking Conditions:
Some overtime may be required
Ability to regularly and frequently lift 25 pounds
Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment
