For over 150 years, we've been instrumental in linking people and places, and now we invite you to contribute to our proud legacy and shape a brighter, sustainable future.   We have an exciting Permanent opportunity for a Trackworker (Labourer) to join our Dalby based Track Team, who look after the track maintenance between Jondaryan to Chinchilla and Meandarra.   What Queensland Rail has to offer •    Full-time base annual salary of $69,000+ 12.75% super – Potential earnings of $85,000 including penalties.  •    9-day fortnight generally between the hours of 0700 to 1600 •    Travel on paid work time including expenses & accommodation •    Complete Cert II & III in Rail Infrastructure - Track •    All PPE & tools supplied    About the role As a Trackworker you will be responsible for performing heavy manual labour activities which can include replacing railway sleepers and a variety of other railway track maintenance activities. This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in a variety of challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.     In this role you will: •    Assist in the repair and maintenance of the railway track •    Perform outdoor labouring duties throughout the region (including flood repair and other emergency work) •    Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently   About you •    Recent experience in a manual handling or physical labouring role •    Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills •    Demonstrated commitment to safety •    Must have capacity to travel and work within Regional Queensland •    Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required     We promote development in our team and in addition to the above-mentioned training you will have the opportunity to gain a First Aid certificate, High Risk Work Licence (DG) & (LF) & Working Safely at Heights ticket.   Click here to view our QR Track team video  and here to view the full Position Description.     FAQ •    Is travel on paid work time?
