Apply Job Type Internship Description Are you a motivated college student passionate about shaping the future of transportation infrastructure? Join our team as a Travel Demand Modeling Intern and gain valuable hands-on experience working on impactful projects that influence regional transportation systems. This paid internship for Summer 2027 offers an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, develop industry-standard skills, and contribute to meaningful transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities: Construct, calibrate, analyze, test, and document inputs for travel demand models. Analyze socioeconomic data, household travel surveys, and origin-destination data under supervision. Assist with model validation against existing conditions to ensure accuracy and reliability. Support the team in preparing reports and presentations related to transportation modeling projects. Collaborate with professionals across planning, engineering, and data analysis disciplines. Skills and Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or master’s program in Transportation Engineering . Preferred completion of the following courses or similar: CE392H & CRP384 (Urban Transportation Planning – Travel Demand Forecasting), CE 321 (Transportation Systems), and CE 391J (Transportation Planning: Methodology and Techniques). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with transportation modeling concepts and data analysis tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with GIS or transportation modeling software is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
