Location: 10462 Hickory Hill Road, Ashland VA, 23005 Available Shifts: • 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday): 2:30 PM–11:00 PM Starting Pay: • 2nd Shift – $18.50/hour (plus $1.00 shift differential) SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED (description below): Employee must be in overall good standing at time of award payout. - First payment of $1,000 will be made on the pay period following 60 days of employment with SanMar. - Second payment of $1,000 will be made on the pay period following 120 days of employment with SanMar. - Bonus amount is taxable and is not a net pay out amount. What's the Short Version? The Warehouse Associate II supports warehouse inventory by monitoring production; loading and moving product; designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; and verifying product inventory reports. What Will You Be Doing? Unload/load incoming and outgoing trailers, operating powered lift equipment to move product and materials as needed. Store product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updating location database. Prepare product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems. Verify product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusting entries. Document warehouse actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases. Monitor inventory by completing counts as required. Research and resolve any discrepancies with shipments, locations, or product. As needed, quickly and accurately locates missing product to complete and ship customer orders in a timely fashion. Support other functions of the Distribution Center as needed, including processing returns, invoicing and tagging shipments, inputting stats and generating reports, and building carts. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy warehouse environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. What Are We Looking For? High School Diploma or GED Preferred 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment Strong customer service skills. Ability to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills; demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities. Ability to learn Internal Operating System(s) and operate Radio Frequency (RF) unit. Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Proficient typing and data entry skills.
