Job Overview PlanetArt is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for our Woodridge facility to lead daily quality inspection activities across inbound, in-process, and outbound operations. This role supervises a team of quality control inspectors, helps maintain consistent quality standards, and works closely with Production, Sourcing, and Product Development to address issues and improve processes. The ideal candidate has experience in quality assurance within a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment, is comfortable analyzing data and leading corrective actions, and can effectively train and support a team in a fast-paced setting. What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of quality control inspectors across inbound, in-process, and outbound inspection activities.
Train, coach, and support quality control inspectors to ensure consistent application of inspection methods, quality standards, and operating procedures.
Monitor team performance and provide feedback to improve accuracy, productivity, accountability, and consistency
Assign daily responsibilities and priorities to QA personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of inspection tasks.
Inspect products received from vendors to ensure the goods meet established specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations
Monitor, input, and analyze inspection data to identify trends, track performance, and drive achievement of quality metrics
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for systemic quality issues and other product nonconformances
Partner cross-functionally with Production, Sourcing, and Product Development to support daily operations and resolve quality-related issues.
Escalate critical quality concerns in a timely manner and collaborate with internal teams to drive effective resolution.
Identify recurring defects, process gaps, and quality trends, and recommend improvements to reduce repeat issues and improve overall product quality.
Help maintain accurate quality records and support updates to SOPs, inspection criteria, and other quality documentation.
