We are currently seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Brisbane-based Civil/Hydrotechnical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of mining, energy and infrastructure projects, applying your technical expertise to deliver innovative and sustainable water resources solutions while continuing to grow your career in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You'll Do
Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling and assessments
Deliver flood modelling and flood impact assessments
Prepare and review technical reports and engineering documentation
Develop and review project proposals and study deliverables
Provide input into engineering design, project planning and cost estimates
Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a variety of projects
Build strong client relationships and contribute to successful project outcomes
About You Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. You are a collaborative and solutions-focused engineer with experience delivering water resources projects across mining, energy, infrastructure, or consulting environments. With a strong foundation in hydrology and hydraulics, you enjoy solving complex challenges, building trusted client relationships, and working as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, sustainable outcomes.
You will also bring:
Experience undertaking hydrological, hydraulic, and flood modelling studies
Strong technical writing, analysis, and communication skills
Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as QGIS, RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, TUFLOW, MUSIC, and HEC-RAS (1D and 2D)
The ability to balance multiple priorities and contribute across a diverse project portfolio
A willingness to coach, mentor, and support the development of junior engineers
