Chart Industries is seeking an experienced Welder-Pipefitter to join our Repairs team in New Prague, Minnesota. This position plays a critical role in the repair, rehabilitation, and replumbing of cryogenic vessels and pressure-containing equipment. Our team manufactures and rehabilitates high-quality products while adhering to ASME, DOT, AAR, and EN pressure vessel codes.
What Will You Do?
Replumb, repair, and weld vessels using established manufacturing processes
Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding in various positions
Complete welding, fitting, grinding, and finishing operations on repaired units
Operate cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts safely and effectively
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld procedures, and welding symbols
Maintain production records, material traceability documentation, and production travelers
Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Assist in training and mentoring less experienced welders as needed
Complete required training and certifications
Perform other duties as assigned
Your Experience Should Be...
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of a Welding Training Program preferred
Experience with vessel repair, pipefitting, fabrication, or related welding work
Proficiency in GTAW and GMAW welding processes
Ability to weld in multiple positions
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and welding symbols
Knowledge of welding best practices and quality…
